About the Author: Siri Sundal Shield

Head of Sales, Americas

Based in Houston, Siri is leading efforts enabling shipping professionals across the region to streamline their workflows, adopt data-driven solutions, and drive more efficient and sustainable operations. She brings over 20 years of experience in commercial shipping, having held key roles in dry bulk and FFA broking, LNG as fuel business development, and chemical tanker chartering. Her extensive expertise in the shipping industry's challenges and opportunities makes her an ideal partner to support businesses in improving their operational performance, both for enhanced profitability and sustainability. Originally from Norway, Siri’s career has taken her to London, Bergen and now Houston. Outside of work, she enjoys running, skiing, keeping up with current affairs, and has a love for good food and wine.

Here’s what Siri has to say about her role:

“In the Americas, there’s incredible potential to enhance shipping operation efficiency by leveraging digital solutions. We will be targeting oil majors, miners and fertiliser producers to improve and modernise their chartering workflows, building on the visible success we’ve seen in the dry market with the iron ore producers.

I’m looking forward to connecting with shipping professionals across the industry to explore new opportunities for growth and to help them unlock significant benefits by adopting more efficient, future-proof digital solutions.”
